SportWing Flares

SportWing (http://www.sportwing.com) makes a set of fender flares for the M-Class. The sample picture seems to indicate that they have a rubber gasket a la 4Runner or Land Cruiser so the flares are stood off from the fenders.

Here's are replies from them on a few questions I asked:
The flares do have a rubber gasket that keeps the edges away from the paint of your vehicle. The flares extend out 3-4 inches from the vehicle and install using factory holes and a clipping system. We warranty the paint job on the flares for three years as we are the largest paint facility in Northern Ohio painting in excess of 150 parts per day without dirt or other impurities. Unfortunately I do not have anyone in the Boston area distributing flares yet. Thanks for your interest in Sportwing products.

Unfortunately I do not have any shots of the clipping system to show you but the product itself carries a lifetime warranty and the paint job is covered for three years. Also, each package comes with an alternative drill installation package if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Yes, unfortunately the mud flaps do interfere with how the flares are supposed to install.
