Couple tips on mud flap install

The instructions Steve Saunders gave were excellent (saved me an hour at least!).
A couple things I learned installing mine.
1. A 90degree (bent) screwdriver (phillips) is required unless you want to remove the rear wheels.
2. Pre-stretching the clips really helps in placing them(place flat head screwdriver into clip, twist to open the clip - only need to do this once for each, and it doesn't cause it to slip, but makes it possible for mere humans to install clips). This is true for both the front clips on the rubber 'ears' that fold back under the wheel well rim, and the rear clips that fit on the edge of the rear bumper skirt.
3. Positioning exactly the 4 wheel well clips on rear was tricky - I used chalk on a 90degree screwdriver, inserted in holes, noted where the mark is - and they were still off some (bumper skirt is flexible!). If they are not aligned, a flat head screwdriver can be used to slide them by tapping them on their edge.
4. If you have the Mercedes side bars - the U bracket for the front flaps will not fit (I have chrome side bars, but quess the black ones are the same). I just cut off the rear most leg of the bracket (one less screw holding the flap on - but the rear of the flap is jammed tightly into the bar where it meets the frame).

They look great on the truck, and even the first day I could see how much they will help in keeping the things clean!
