From Al League (leaguea@erols.com): Well I saved all those tips and waited for my mudflaps kits (yes, we have 2 ML's), and yesterday started the install. I tried following the tips for rear installation, but aligning the clips was near impossible, so I adopted a different approach: Remove the rear bumper - 4 10mm nuts located behind the small access panels in the bumper and pull the bumper towards you (it slides oh 4 slots -2 on each rear quarter panel)- time 5 minutes. Alignment of clips is now easy - line up with markings on inside of bumper. Push clips on by grasping with pliers or better yet vise grips - time 10 minutes. Clean up bumper and remove adhesive strips from flap and align, install mounting screws. -5 minutes Reinstall bumper, 5 minutes Attach flap cables to studs sticking out from body bottom (Clair included 10 mm nuts) Clean/simple, no broken fingernails or cut fingers (once I figured out this approach). The Fronts are also simplified if you slightly spread the retaining clips with a flat blade screw driver and use a small rubber padded grip vise to pull them on. Once installed I ensured the security of them with a squeeze from a vise grip. Thanks to all of those that worked this task before and I hope these tips make it easier for those of you out there that are considering the do it yourself approach. Also, thanks to Clair who included EVERYTHING needed in their mudflap kits.
