Looks like this is available on Passport Advantage already according to Chris' blog. This was pre-announced a few week's ago in Ed Brill's blog. The exciting thing is that it's free for now so if your organization is using the Windows or Mac clients and wants to try the Linux one to see how well it works, it's a great time to try it and get a preview of Notes 8.0 (a.k.a., "Hanover") which will be based on Eclipse.
If you have problems with the installer griping about not finding the right version of Mozilla, you need to do this:
Create the file /etc/gre.conf and add the following lines:
[1.7.12]
/usr/lib/mozilla
Change the version and location as needed.
