Wagner ThermoQuiet Pads Don't Need Anti-Squeal Gel

The Wagner ThermoQuiet pads do not require any anti-squeal additives. The unique design of the pad has molded shims on the back of the pads in most cases. If they do not have the molded shims they will include attached shims. Anti-squeal additives are not required in either case. These shims are what dampens vibrations and eliminates the noises. If the compound is added after a shim has been affixed to the pad, the compound can actually pul the shim away from the pad during operation. If the shim is pulled away
from the pad, the shim's ability to reduce noise is drastically reduced.

It is our recommendation to Not use anti-squeal compounds on Wagner ThermoQuiet pads.
