From DAC: IMO the factory speakers are extremely low quality. Both front and rear are single cone, the front has a small whizzer to make it look like a dual cone. The rears are 4" and the front are 6.5". To get to the speakers, first pop out the trim in the handle of each door. This will expose 2 phillips head screws which needs to be removed. Then very carefully pop out each trim tab to loosen to panel. That special forked tool really helps, otherwise plan on breaking (and replacing) a few of the tabs. The speakers are mounted in these plastic mounts. The fronts fit a 6.5S (not a regular 6.5) speaker and the rears fit either a 4" or a 5.25" (again perfectly for most aftermarket speakers.) For the rears, if you use 5.25" speakers, you can easily fit 2" deep and 0.5" high speakers (Crutchfield says you're limited to 1.5" deep, but they're wrong). For the front, you can fit over 3" deep and 0.75" high speakers (Crutchfield says you can only 0.25" high speakers, again they are wrong.) For anybody still debating about the Bose system, or trying to fit an aftermarket CD changer in, by shopping around, I was able to replace my headunit with a Blaupaunk Denver, all four speakers with Infinity Kappa's and install a Sony 4x50W amp all for under $650 including all wiring.
