From Dave: Had Clarion DRB-4375 CD-receiver installed today along with Infinity 610cs component speaker system. The Infinitys sound as good as the MB-Quarts I originally picked and they have a smaller, directionally movable tweeter which fits better in the ML mirror triangle. This set-up is 100% better than the stock system and I didn't even upgrade rear speakers. Lots of power, very crisp highs and deep bass. No distortion even when I crank it up to "lowrider" volumes which will blow you out of the car. With all due respect to Terry, my installer strongly disagreed with the idea of covering rear vent. He said speakers must have some air to move in the rear of the speaker to efficiently operate. Bass certainly sounds good....Installer works almost exclusively on Mercedes and has done many ML installations. There was a black ML in his shop getting the $1,000 Alpine in-dash navigation/TV system. Very trick. Total damage: DRB-4375 (from Crutchfield) $210 Infinity speaker system $219 Install speakers $100 Install head unit $65 TOTAL $594 (way cheaper than Bose which, incidentally, installer told me he has been taking out of ML's and replacing with other sytems!)
